Every Step Toward Calm Is a Step Toward Wellness
In today’s fast-paced world, stress, burnout, and disconnection have become all too common.
According to the CDC, over 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience mental health challenges each year.
But research also shows that mindful movement and social connection can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and chronic stress — improving both mental and physical health.
That’s why Omi Wellness & Counseling created the Mindful Walking Club — a monthly walk for calm, connection, and community healing.

About the Mindful Walking Club
Held every 4th Saturday of the month, this walk offers a simple yet meaningful way to pause, breathe, and find balance.
Each session includes:
-
A guided grounding exercise to quiet the mind
-
A 30–40 minute mindful walk at a gentle pace
-
A Reflection Card to process your thoughts and emotions during and after the walk
You don’t need to be an athlete — you just need to show up as you are.
This is movement for the mind, not mileage for the body.
Who Can Join?
The Mindful Walking Club welcomes:
Individuals seeking stress relief and balance
Couples wanting to reconnect through shared presence
Community partners and organizations that support mental wellness initiatives
All fitness levels are welcome. Each walk is inclusive, intentional, and centered on holistic well-being.

Why We Walk?
At Omi Wellness & Counseling, we believe healing begins with connection — to yourself, to others, and to nature.
Our walks are more than an event; they’re a movement for awareness.
Every step helps raise understanding around the importance of mental health, mindfulness, and preventative self-care.
What to Bring?
Bring comfortable shoes, a water bottle, towel, and an open heart.
We’ll provide your Reflection Card, mindfulness prompts, and a space of warmth and support.

When we walk mindfully, we heal. When we walk together, we raise awareness for mental wellness in our communities.
